Area of application
The Volvo BM 840 and 841 were 4-wheel drive all-round loaders in the 10-tonne class, built to handle a wide variety of tasks in varifying operating environments. The machines, which were fitted with hydraulic attachment brackets of the "Small Volvo BM type", offered access to a wide range of attachments via particularly rapid attachment changes. Excellent stability and off-road ability combined with generous range and lifting height are properties that were characteristic of these Volvo BM loaders.
The Volvo BM LM 840/841 are the largest machines of their generation with a rigid machine body with lineage from the BM-Volvo LM 218 and the pioneering H-10. The Volvo BM LM 840/841 was manufactured between 1966 and 1986 in a total of 6 365 units. The machine on display is a Volvo BM LM 841 with serial number 2218, and it was produced in 1974.
